Graphic Design
In the field of architecture you have to have a graphic eye, even better, graphic design skills. I fell in love with Photoshop as a teenager, and the rest of the adobe suite soon after. Graphic design allows me a level of freedom in design that an intern architect doesnt always, so I embrace it to the fullest. I love playing with color, style and typography. Yes, my font library is in the hundreds! I am always available for freelance graphic design work; just send me a quick message.

2011I worked with Essenza Architecture to put together this digital submittal for the Colorado North Design Awards. The final submittal was a 16 slide powerpoint presentation of the Russian Fitness Club, Zhukovka that Essenza Architecture designed.

The first four images on this page are two of a series double sided single fold brochures I designed for OLC Architecture. The offset fold on these brochures allows for a consistent side bar with company information that also has strategically placed slits to slip in a business card. This series was developed as a cost effective give away brochure that could be designed specifically for different events since printing costs were low. Other brochures on this page were for give away rfp interviews, project information flyers, speaking engagements and international translation

OLC Architecture attended many tradeshows focused on fitness and medical wellness throughout the years. As the economy slowed there was less need to transport our large fancy tradeshow booth so we began to use portable banners to display our work and catch attention. Most of these boards are printed on a durable vinyl that rolls up for easy transportation and attaches to a sleek portable stand. Some of these banners were designed as a set of three to create an entire backdrop for tradeshow booth space.

One of my first jobs out of undergraduate school was working for a small pool design and construction business that also happened to sell bonsais. With all of these facets of the business it was hard to market appropriately. To solve this problem I designed a series of flyers, business cards and coupons for each segment to better define each business branch, while unifying them through similar style.

Half Acre Gymnasium
The Half Acre Gymnasium project was half architecture and half graphic design. My firm was selected as the design architect, but then was able to become the project graphic designer because of my experience. I worked with both my firm and the owner to set up a series of logo options and design standards, all of which followed the overall university graphic design standards. The images to the right are several samples of both the graphic design items and the initial schematic design document.
